With the most concerning one of these changes being climate. Today, during the ever increasing very dry periods, the government sends out alerts, asking citizens to be careful about their water usage. We don’t think much about water these days. And that’s an issue. TWe came up with Tap2tap to provoke a different idea on water. The platform has 3 main components: A smart system of sensors that collects the water usage data from all devices in your home that consume water; an app that collects and publishes this data, which enables people to check their water usage easily and compare it to others; and a central hub, disguised as an ambient lamp, which reminds you about your water usage in a glance, throughout the day. This ecosystem makes adapting our water usage according to the changing conditions of our environment a habit that is integrated to our daily lives, by treating it as a community and social effort.
